Yeralavani was established in 2011 to provide essential information to the marginalised communities living in the remote villages of Sangli. The station works towards empowering local rural communities. The programmes are primarily focused on agriculture and allied sectors, with particular attention given to how local farmers can be guided and equipped with necessary information about new methods of agriculture and government schemes. In this audio, Yeralavani reflects on its journey and the experience of working with local communities to help them experience development and empowerment. The audio also focuses on Yeralavani’s achievements as a community radio station.
